Wold Cottage

Bull Lane, Winchcombe

This pretty cottage has recently been restored to a very high specification and consequently it has been awarded Four stars by VisitBritain (this was previously the English Tourist Council). The owners have sympathetically maintained Wold Cottage's original character while seeking to provide the standards of comfort expected by guests today. The cottage can sleep four to six people and it is within the conservation area of the village of Winchcombe. Whilst situated in the centre of the village it enjoys a tranquil location but it is only a short stroll from the nearest shops and pubs. A cot, highchair and stairgate are available at no extra charge. A Wi-Fi connection has also been installed.

On the ground floor you will find the;

Sitting Room: The fireplace has a 'Living Flame' gas fire; there is a wide screen television with Sky, a DVD player with a collection of DVD’s and a VCR if you want to bring along those old videos! There is also a comfortable sofa bed which sleeps two.
Dining Room: This overlooks the patio and garden to the rear of the cottage and comfortably seats 6 at a solid oak table. The French windows open directly onto the patio.
Kitchen: The kitchen is of a high standard with quality appliances which include a gas hob, integrated electric oven and grill, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine with dryer and ironing facilities. There is a radio and CD player with a USB port.

The first floor accommodates;

Two bedrooms: There is one double bedroom with a traditional king size bed and carved pine furniture. The other bedroom has twin beds and a large built in cupboard.
Bathroom: This has just been completely refitted and includes a separate shower cubicle and a bath.

and directly outside ...

The garden: A pretty patio and garden can be found to the rear of the property. This is furnished with traditional garden furniture and there is a barbecue.
There is free roadside parking but for the convenience of our guests we have purchased a parking permit for the car park at the end of the lane.

Guest Book

"We loved the cottage. It was just what we were looking for! We would certainly recommend it to anyone who was thinking of holidaying in the area. We were truly happy with the cottage, in fact, in the 5 weeks that we spent in UK & Europe Wold Cottage was one of our favourites, five star in our opinion!!! "
Helen Putnis, NSW, Australia

"Yes, a lovely cottage in which to spend the weekend. I hope you might allow us to stay again"
Chris Hunter, Kent

"A beautiful home, fully equipped. The gift of a hamper was a lovely touch, made us feel welcome and at home immediately" Debbie Boyes, Dorset

"The house was fantastic - thank you for the hamper. Everything was provided for (which sometimes isn't in other places)" Emma Philips, Harrow
